Secretin is one of a family of hormones (see Fig. 19.2) that share significant sequence homology; the hormones are:
• Secretin
• Glucagon
• Enteroglucagon and glucagon-like peptides
• Glucose-dependent Insulinotrophic Peptide
• Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide
• Peptide Histidine Methionine
